Manganese is used in turfgrass as a major contributor to various biological systems including photosynthesis, respiration, and nitrogen assimilation. Manganese is also involved in pollen production, root cell elongation, and resistance to root pathogens.
Brandt Sequestar 13% Mn is a fully chelated, water-soluble, powdered form of manganese EDTA and is recommended for the prevention and correction of manganese deficiency in turf grass. The preferred use is as a soil application to prevent the deficiency although it may also be used as a foliar spray to provide correction when a soil application is impractical.
Sequestar 13% Mn is recommended for use on all types of soil. To ensure uniform coverage, this product should be dissolved in water or fluid fertilizer, or dry blended with water-soluble fertilizers.
