AquaBac 200G Granular Bacillus thuringiensis var. israelensis (Bti) is eaten by the mosquito larva and becomes highly toxic to the larva, killing them within minutes after ingestion. Since the bacteria are harmless to other insect predators, these predators continue to feed on the larva and work in concert with Bti to keep the larva population in check. The EPA has categorized the risk to non-target organisms as minimal to non-existent. This means the use of Bti does not cause collateral damage to high use areas and leaves no chemical residue to contaminate the environment.
AquaBac 200G is for Commercial or Residential use to containerized standing water or any private water sites except treated, finished drinking water reservoirs or drinking water receptacles when the water is intended for human consumption or state waters. This product can be applied to areas that contain aquatic life, fish, and plants and to areas used by or in contact with humans, animals, horses, livestock, pets, birds or wildlife.
